Israel struggled with unfaithfulness almost 750 years after their exodus from Egypt and Isaiah reminded them that the One True God was their Lord and deliverer, “This is what the Lord says – Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty; I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.” (44:6) God wasn’t fashioned by their imagination or restricted to the boundaries they set. God was not made for man…man was made for God. He does not need man…man needs God. There is only One God and no one can usurp His throne room or power. He is the same omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient Lord yesterday, today and forever!
